Some people have referred to the Whitby Ketch as the condominium of cruising sailboats. With it's center cockpit and two state rooms located forward and aft, it provides privacy with individual heads (washrooms with showers). Separate In the center is a spacious salon and kitchen galley. There is a walk through beside the engine room to the aft cabin as well a separate entrance from the cockpit. The Galley has a propane stove and oven, large freezer and fridge. Hot and cold fresh water is available throughout.
The ketch comes equipped with a 9 ft hard bottom Caribe inflatable dinghy with an 9.8 hp engine. An additional diesel generator ensures all your electrical needs. Although the original manufacturer was from Whitby, Ontario Canada, Sweet Surrender was built in 1982 under contract at Fort Myers ship yard in Florida. She was designed by Ted Brewer and given Cruising Boat of The Year award by Cruising World Magazine back in 1980.
